Student Life Assistance is a free service included with all GradGuard Tuition Insurance Plans from Allianz Partners. It provides 24-hour emergency assistance to students and their families when an unexpected situation arises.
What does Student Life Assistance help with?
Student Life Assistance staff can help coordinate support in a range of emergency situations, including:
- Family travel arrangements — helping family members travel to be with a hospitalized student
- Medical transport coordination — arranging to transport a student home after receiving medical care
- Vehicle assistance — arranging for a sick or injured student's car to be driven home (personal vehicles only – rental cars are not eligible)
These are coordination and logistics services — Student Life Assistance staff help arrange and facilitate, but the recipient of the services is fully and solely responsible for all charges by vendors for services provided.
Is Student Life Assistance the same as my tuition insurance?
No. Student Life Assistance is a separate support service included alongside your tuition insurance plan — it is not part of the insurance coverage itself. Your tuition insurance may provide financial reimbursement for non-refundable costs if you withdraw for a covered reason. Student Life Assistance provides logistical and emergency support during a difficult situation.

Your plan documents and Declaration of Coverage also include the contact information for the assistance line.
