I can’t cancel through my online account
- Before canceling your policy, it might be helpful to consider that GradGuard’s personal property coverage protects the insured's belongings worldwide from theft, burglary, and malicious damage. You can learn more about our renters insurance here.
- Due to compliance regulations, we do not cancel policies via email. Feel free to give us a call at 866-985-7598 and we can assist with canceling your policy over the phone. Our member service advocates are available from 10am - 6pm EST Monday through Friday and are happy to assist you.
I need to change my address, add roommate or update coverage
- Due to Florida insurance regulations, we are unable to make edits or changes to the policy. Updating the coverage, address or adding a roommate would result in canceling your current policy and purchasing a new one. For assistance, please contact us at 866-985-7598. Our member service advocates are available from 10am - 6pm EST Monday through Friday.
Are hurricanes covered with GradGuard?
- Hurricane coverage can vary depending on where you live. If you’re in Florida, you’ll have coverage for losses caused by hurricanes—be sure to review your policy for specific details.
Florida Hazard Mitigation Tax
- Due to a consistent increase in natural disasters, the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association, the governing insurance body in the state of Florida, has imposed an annual Emergency Assessment Fee totaling 2%, on all policies effective after July 1, 2022. This fee will be used to improve the timeliness and assistance of claims (at the state level) when these disasters occur. The 2% fee will be collected with your August policy payment.
